Once a bustling international port, Sulina still echoes tales of its cosmopolitan past through its maritime museum, historic church, and legendary multi-faith cemetery, where travelers from around the world found their final resting place.
We then visit Sulina’s secluded beach, where the fresh waters of the Danube merge with the sea, creating a unique and refreshing coastal retreat. Nearby, we arrive at the historic Sulina Lighthouse, which marks Point 0 of the Danube, the point where Europe’s second-longest river reaches its final destination.
After enjoying a delicious local lunch, we sail across the Gulf of Musura, a dynamic landscape shaped by the Danube’s endless flow, forming Romania’s youngest land, a sanctuary for birds and shifting sands. Here, ancient oak trees, golden sand dunes, and wild horses combine to create an enchanting, untouched paradise.
